Catching up

Quick movie reviews, because I haven't posted lately:
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy: Worth watching, but inconsistent. The movie is funny because of the odd situations and not because of Will Ferrell, who adds very little to a movie in which he is in nearly every frame. Two and a Half Stars
Hostage: A well directed, good looking movie. Unfortunately the writers added a second layer of plot on top of the main plot which is just preposterous. Despite that, I enjoyed much of this movie. Three Stars
Alien vs. Predator: Watching this and Soldier I believe that director Paul W. S. Anderson actually wants to make good movies. Unfortunately he doesn't understand character development. Additionally, his movies look like video games. Alien vs. Predator is relatively painless and is over before you can get too bored. Two Stars
Constantine: Another movie that's not awful, but not good either. It starts out with potential; Poor direction Keanu's bad performance ulitmately sink the movie. Peter Stormare has a great performance as Satan near the end of the film. Two Stars
